Emily Steel of the Wall Street Journal announced on Thursday, July 15, 2010 that Omnicom and Google have announced plans to collaborate together as partners in online display advertising, or banner ads. Emily stated “The deal will allow Omnicom to concentrate on its areas of expertise, such as client services, creativity and analytics rather than technology” In a nutshell, both Google and Omnicom are leveraging the skills of the other to provide new advertising campaign management and initiatives.

Every day companies announce new partnerships and relationships that allow each side to focus on their strengths and areas of expertise. This is not a new idea or concept. These types of relationships have been formed since commerce began.

It is somewhat baffling then that so many online marketers seem to find these types of mutual incentive relationships so hard to form. Maybe they think that they need to get up and running or established before they can entertain this kind of notion.

This thought process is reinforced by the seemingly endless list of product launches. The common theme with each product launch is that each “new” idea costs a significant amount of money, has a steep learning curve and focuses on one marketer using someone else’s monthly fee based product to execute the idea. In all cases, the system is promoted as being a time-saver that will let the individual do it themselves and make tons of money.

One of the best ways to get started is to realize that you can’t do it all by yourself. It starts by finding a trusted resource to help guide you to the people and services that can get you on the best initial path. Mutual Incentive has been where you are and wants to help you decide how to get started. Remember, your idea is just the beginning. Forming the baseline business foundation is critical. Once these are in place you’ll need to figure our how to get people to your site.

Many people have heard about domains, lists, auto responders, and affiliate links and so on. Mutual Incentive will help you get going with your own system so you can begin promoting your business and generating traffic rather than wasting your time learning details that take a lot of time to learn but are rarely used.
